A Pray of Hope for the Hopeless

We know that storms come into our lives. Rain comes for everyone and even though we know it’s coming, it doesn’t make the pain or hopelessness any less impactful. Sometimes the rain storms are stronger than others and they last much longer than expected. During these times, we can fall into hopelessness. It feels like our struggle will never end.

God wants for us to have joy-filled lives. He also knows that in order for us to truly experience joy, we need to go through these challenges to build in us endurance for future trials. Not only that, enduring the dark times makes us appreciate the bright times so much more. Once we’ve passed through, we can look back and confidently know that we have grown because of it.

In a way, we’ve been purified of our old selves.

And all who have this hope in him purify themselves even as he is pure.

1 John 3:3

Hopelessness is an emotion that everyone experiences at some point in their lives. Let our times of hopelessness be a test of our fortitude to thank God for them as we are confident that He has begun a good work in us and will carry it on until completion.

Let this pray of hope fill you with God’s peace that there is a reason for your trial, a purpose in your pain, and plan for your life.
