What we set our minds upon each day determines the trajectory of how we will respond to the stresses that come our way. Similar to eating a robust, healthy breakfast at the start of the day, how we feed our minds and souls at the start will greatly impact the quality of our day.
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
Psalm 5:3
Mornings arrive in different flavors and we often get distracted or discouraged to sit and spend time with the Lord. It’s easy to wake up on the wrong side of the bed and already feel bitterness or frustration welling up inside us where we don’t have the desire to sit and pray on our own.
Sometimes we are in a place where intercessory prayer could really help us get in touch with and get right with God in the morning. Having another Christ-follower pray over us can kickstart our day and get us on that right track.
May your day be blessed through this morning prayer.
